Recognizing the Unrecognized

There are certain people in the world that they contribute to the world in an enormous manner , yet their identity is not recognized , they die in seclusion , they spread happiness and make our work a lot more easier, it is not easy to work without them, yet they exist without even making us realize and wants nothing in return, not even the admiration.Whenever we see them, we ignore them and pay no heed to them, we simply think how dirty and unhygienic they are,and move from that place, but have you ever paid a thought what the world would be without them?.Here are certain professions which I observed from my  life and i felt they are more richer then our  'Poor luxurious and lavish' lives.

Balloon waale Bhaiya’, the person who is selling the balloons (Happiness) are the most ignored person among all, but as a child I used to love them, by seeing them from the distant I used to feel so happy after seeing their one sight.I still remember some incidents from my childhood , I used to go to temple or fairs just to buy balloons not to pray to God, balloon was more the thing of excitement for me as compared to God . I still remember the face of that uncle (Balloon waale bhaiya) as he was very old and is doing this work from such a long time, he might have died till now but no one remembers him, because he is not important for the society but certainly he was important to me. It gives me pain whenever i see a Balloon waale bhaiya because everyone is interested in balloons not the person who is selling the happiness. If you don’t realize their value, just look at your  Children’s face when they get the balloons , you will come to know that even an expensive toy did not bring that million dollar smile to his/her face .

Sweepers ,In india we consider them untouchables,we don’t value them, we ignore them , when we see them, we often make faces as if they are doing some demeaning work which is degrading, but sometimes I imagine that in a state like Rajasthan which is full of sand and dust ,it is very difficult to clean it, even it takes an entire day to clean a house here.I wonder how much efforts it takes to clean the city?.We put the statuses like 'Swacch bharat abhiyan' 'Clean India' and do nothing to clean it.Sweepers are the real heroes behind this, not us or PM Modi ji.

Chat waalas, we love to eat chats, it is the best delicacy in India.Do we respect them or consider them anything?. We eat  chat and just move on without seeing them. Some Chat Waalas are more richer then us but do they get the recognition and respect ?. Do someone calls them to cut the ribbons at ceremonies or make them guest of honor? Why their photo does not come on the front page in the newspaper? The reason behind this is that they are the uneducated illiterate "Entrepreneurs'.

Chefs at the Dhabbas, Personally Dhabbha’s food is very famous and I also love it, it is delicious. Sometimes Dhabbas food beat the five stars hotel’s rich delicacies. Chefs there are uneducated, they don’t have the recognition like the chefs at five star hotels. But on the other side they make the super duper awesome mouth watering dishes and we don’t greet them personally though they are the real assets of the  food industry in genuine sense .

Maids, They come every day, she cleans our house ,but what if she does not come for three consecutive days?.The day she comes everyone scolds her that why she did not turn up all these days ,but she might have faced certain serious issues at her home but none of us bother to ask what has happened to her, is she all right or not?.They are the most important people in our lives, we should treat them with dignity and love.

Dancers and Artists ,they take our culture forward , they are the real pride of the state , though everyone enjoys the show and the dance but no one considers this profession as a good and a reputable profession. If they would not be here ,we would have the lost our culture a way long back.

This list is endless.Other people who sells the stuff like screens ,flowers ,books at the traffic signal. I remember one incident which i want to share here, one day the person was selling the screen for the car at the bridge, so that it will prevent us from heat inside the car and he was selling that at 3 P.M in Rajasthan in the month of june in the heat which is like the highest temperature of OTG, it burns us, kills us, but still he was selling it just to earn money. If they don't deserve a good salary, at least they deserve a salute.

These are certain examples, there are numerous examples.Every profession is valuable ,we should not look down to any profession with the demeaning eyes ,every one is important, everyone is praiseworthy if they are doing any work for their living , they are not those beggars who are doing nothing though they are capable of, .So next time when  you see them ,smile at them, greet them and praise them for their fabulous work and you will come to know they are the one who will appreciate it more then anybody and will work in future more efficiently.

  1. In most of the cases it is the ego and few instilled perception of people that obstructs in giving recognition to people deserving the same.
