Is india really secular?

We live in world’s largest democracy, where we have 29 states, 7 union territories , more than 1000 languages, so many religious and ethnic groups, it has a diverse and vibrant culture. India is a piece of land which doesn’t need any introduction. We have the largest written constitution in the world, in which its preamble states that – “We, The people of india, having solemnly resolved to constitute india into a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic and to secure to all its citizens Justice Liberty ,Equality and Fraternity’, preamble represents the intention of the people who made this holy constitution. I am snatching the word from the above and i want to discuss the term secular and secularism.Sometimes i wonder ,are we actually reaching to what the makers of the constitution had in their mind while thinking of the New and a developed India?. They were far better thinkers and well wishers of india as compared to us. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru has seen the india that, it would be a great nation in coming years which will be filled with happiness and peace, he divided the india just to create harmony among religious and linguistic groups, but i really don’t know what people of this nation still wants?, they have seen the dream of india as a one nation where all religions will live together and respect each other ,but one question is disturbing me ,are we (all the religions) together?.My answer is NO.

Recent case of dadri lynching has left me enthralled, i am still in a great shock and i want to re think that still after 68 years of independence, if this could happen then what can we expect from the future generations?. I mean they killed a muslim just on a rumor that he might have stored beef in their home? I mean seriously? Was that the sole reason?.What they got from this?, reverse they have created communal tension and shamed india on the world platform. People always criticize about muslim community, now what the Hindus did was that praiseworthy?. I mean killing the people of their country for the sake of the religion?. How can they stop anyone from eating anything?. I know cow is considered sacred from the hindu religious point of view but that is not the muslim's point of view; same goes with the muslims, they should not dominate the world by only preaching their religion and creating terrorism.Everyone loves their religion, we should respect each other. We should not kill each other.

Babri masjid demolition/ Godhra riots 2002, when i heard the stories about how hindu muslim killed each other in these unfortunate incidents, i lost faith in humanity for sometime, it happened in the country which is widely recognized for the its love and affection.I don’t even feel like writing this horrific incident here.I just want to say that just for a monument and for a temple, so many lives has been taken, is it justified?.What they got after this? Only the politicians gained and no one else.I mean why?. I feel angry, sad and tensed, all mixed in one.I just can't see the pictures on google of this incident, when i opened the page of this incident, the pics were so horrifying and disturbing, but what was more horrifying was the reaction of my HINDU friend who was sitting beside me, when i showed him, he said "saale yehi sab deserve karte yeh log ".I was like firstly you are are a human, start behaving like one, the people who were killed had nothing to do with your vengeance. We need to change this mentality of the people by imparting more quality education and should teach them religious tolerance, otherwise these cases will never get a full stop. Youth has the power to change this type of attitude.

Now a days i just like being called by my name not by my any caste or religion, i feel happy about it, i just thought the earth would have been so much better place if it is not categorized under any religion or language. God is really upset from us, why we are not understanding it?. Why people don't understand that he is not happy with the blood shedding, he is just happy with the love, peace, brotherhood and unity. He wants us to live together as a family and help each other. I hope the younger generation will understand my message.
